"When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

We use this as a golden rule as we eat during our travels, sure to try the local and regional specialties that make each place we visit unique.  In Jacksonville, Florida this means the incredible Key Lime pie at the Brick, a restaurant in the busy Avondale area.  The pie was so good that it not only warranted a return visit, some of us may or may not have ordered a slice to go for our car ride back to Atlanta....

While it was a highlight, the Key Lime pie was not the only standout of the Brick's menu.  Also of note were the scallops, served with jasmine rice in a creamy citrus sauce, and the perfectly cooked prime rib.  We had a fantastic time at the Brick with our friends from the Prelude Chamber Music Camp and Festival, and look forward to returning to Jacksonville to teach, perform, and eat!
